I'm afraid that this isn't a Hamada at all. It is from Mashiko but who ever bought it on Ebay for £1,000 has bought a teapot which, if I remember correctly, was damaged that is worth around £10.00 if that. It is Mashiko standard ware definately NOT by Hamada. These teapots are in Mashiko by the hundred. Before spending £1,000 with a dubious seller it's worth checking these things out.
