Ceduna's state teapot winner

Joy Stott, of Ceduna, has won the Cancer Council's "Best teapot” competition for the Mid North region.
Joy entered her teapot in the competition after reading about it in the Sentinel a few weeks ago.
Joy said "When I read about the competition in the West Coast Sentinel I just had to enter my unique teapot, which belonged to my mother.
Joy said her mother was given the teapot by a friend when Joy was just a child and she believes it would have to be at least 60 years old.
The elephant teapot has no markings on it to determine its age or origin.
Joy is one of eight regional winners from South Australia and she is now in the running to go on and win the State title.
The State winner will be announced later this week.
The ladies of Ceduna have organised a teapot display, which will be held at the Ceduna Memorial Hall on Thursday May 25 for the Biggest Morning Tea.
Anyone interested in putting their teapot in the display can bring it to the Ceduna Memorial Hall Ceduna,South Australia from 9 am on the morning of May 25th.
