Jimmy Savile auction
A boiled egg teapot made by Andy Titcomb and purchased by Jimmy Savile has sold at auction for £380. The Sir Jimmy Savile Sale at Saviles Hall, Leeds, Saviles Hall, 30 July 2012 was conducted by Dreweatts for the estate of Jimmy Saville.
An earthenware novelty egg cup tea pot by 'Andy', 25cm high; with an issue of Hi Society Magazine, issue 12, 2002, with Sir Jimmy on the cover and an article on him, p. 21 featuring a full page image of Sir Jimmy in his Leeds kitchen holding this tea pot
From the kichen of Sir Jimmy's Leeds flat.
Provenance: From the estate of Sir Jimmy Savile. OBE, KCSG, LLD (1926-2011)
condition report
The cover finial (spoon) broken off (has been glued before), no other faults
There is a crack to the handle and slight glaze mark to base. The egg top has a broken spoon but the broken end is with it.

It's always good to be recognised by the high and mighty.
Any close ups of the teapot ? I would love to zoom in and see the artefact in question.
