Julie Klein

Julie Klein from Brooklyn New York is very much drawn to the architectural elements of ceramics, with an emphasis primarily on vessel making. Her interest lies in experimenting with the notion of form vs. function and how they interact. Inspiration is drawn from nature, architecture, contemporary culture, classical and modern art.
The photo shows her ancient copper teapot.
Check out her gallery and even MORE on Flickr!

Did you do that by hand?

Hi Anonymous. I did. It's made from white stoneware clay. I threw some of it on the wheel and the rest was hand built and sculpted. Thanks for asking!

Hi Anonymous.
Yup. The teapot is made from white stoneware clay of which some of the elements were thrown on the wheel and the rest were handbuilt and sculpted.
Thanks!
