Racing Car Teapot

A 1930's Green & Silver Lustre Racing Car Teapot made by Sadler, marked on the base with "Made in England Registered No 820236". There is no maker’s name on the earliest teapots.
After the War, owing to shortages of silver and platinum these teapots were not lustred, which makes the earlier teapots more desirable. The teapot also has an integral, internal strainer which modern copies do not have.
Sold on Ebay 14th September for £53.00 [I wouldn't part with mine for that little though!]
