Harrogate Antique and Fine Arts Fair

The oldest known provincial teapot has pride of place on a stand at the Old Swan Hotel Antiques fair this weekend in Harrogate.
The Queen Ann Teapot, made in Newcastle in 1705 by Francis Batty, has the crest of the Masterman and Sykes family and was sold in 1976 at Sothebys.
It came from the private collection of Sir Richard Sykes.
