Tin-glazed earthenware teapot

Made in Liverpool about 1760.
Tin-glazed earthenware often cracked with boiling water and not many teapots have survived. This then is a rare example of such a pot. Early teapots are small because tea was very expensive.
Purchased by Liverpool Museums in 1986.
